Living Well with Diabetes
This evidence-based program, that originated at Stanford University, was developed for people living with or caring for someone with a diagnosis of chronic pain. The workshop does not conflict with existing treatment and gives participants the skills needed to manage their health, as well as keep active lives. The workshop meets once a week for six weeks and covers topics such as: appropriate use of medications, techniques to deal with fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise, and communicating effectively with family, friends and health professionals. It is FREE and at the end, each participant receives a copy of “Living Well with Chronic Pain” book and a relaxation CD to take home!
